What is your USPA License Number?
D-6174

Please list your USPA Ratings:

How many jumps do you have?
4,500+

How many years in the sport?
45 (with a 20 year layoff)

When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
Jumping off my roof. Building bicycle jumps, ski jumping.

What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
It was there, I had to try it.

What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
It scared me. Nothing really had before. I couldn’t let that lie. On my 1st 5 second delay, I was hooked for life. Skydiving changed my life, made me want to be my very best at something. That was the beginning of a lifetime path of accomplishments, that have brought tremendous joy.

What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
Most people would assume, my bandit skydive into Liz Taylor’s wedding on Michael Jackson’s Nederland ranch to take photos. It was pretty memorable, ask me for the whole story. Jumping through a ring of 19 helicopters was a pretty notable “hold my beer” moment. It competes with some pretty hair raising demo jumps for Miller Beer and a few tandems in the early days of tandem skydiving.

If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
My old 4 way team or any of my new sky family friends. We all connect to friends made skydiving like no others.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about jumping for the first time?
Do everything you can to “live in the moment”. Expand your awareness to take it all in. Absorb the experience, don’t let fear block you from taking it in.
