What is your PRIMARY role at the DZ?
Manifest

When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
Initially, I had told myself that I would never jump out of a plane. Nothing in my childhood would have indicated skydiving as an option for me. I have been terrified of heights my entire life. The appeal was there, however, I just didn’t think that I could ever get the courage to do it. After spending years around skydivers, I finally got the courage to take the plunge. It was one of the most exhilarating and life affirming experiences of my life.

What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
I spent years around DZs due to most of my friends being in the skydiving world. Also, I used to work at an indoor skydiving facility which gave me a glimpse into the skydiving experience. As awesome as skydiving is, it is the people that are in this community that made me stay. I can’t think of a more welcoming group of people. It took a few years of spending time at DZs and getting to know the community before I made my first jump. It was an experience I will never forget.

If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
If I could jump with anyone, it would probably be my mother. She is as terrified of heights as I am. I would love to see her experience skydiving.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about jumping for the first time?
I would tell them that is ok to be scared, but it is absolutely worth the temporary moment for fear. It will be one of the most life affirming moments of your life. Take the plunge!
